All but the toe

Progess report on my sister's socks...




What you don't see in the pictures:

1. Reading the idea to use large needles on the upper calves so I can make a size that will fit better around the ankles and feet, but reading it only after doing all the above work.

2. The realization, yes, I really do need to hold an elastic thread together with alpaca yarn when I knit it.

3. The sock on the right getting larger and larger and larger as I try it on. (See #2)

4. Toe-up socks sounding more and more appealing.

5. Plan B--felting and cutting into slippers. (only in an emergency, but comforting nonetheless)


Mail call...

This music is going to be perfect for the restaurant. I like these so much, I'm nervous to open the third CD that came with them.
